Thunder
Do you hear thunder
A storm is near
People are hating
We live in fear
A child is taken
All wonder why
A nation is numb
To a parents cry
Corporate thieves steal from all
Plea the fifth, still walk tall
Fires rage out in the west
Ignited by a cities best
Cops beat us daily with fists and fury
We have no rights when they’re judge and jury
Thousands homeless and hungry
Each day they pray
Do you lend a hand
Or turn away
Innocence lost amongst our youth
They find deceit and rape in a search for truth
Raised by the media
And what they see
Slaves to fashion
You call this free
Role models, please…
Don’t make me laugh
Both mom and dad
Blame the other half
It’s up to you
After all he is your son
Yet all fingers point to a man with microphone a ball or
a gun
Take charge of your family
After all he is your son
Where do I start
You have to wonder
I say wake up
Do you hear thunder
