I fell down today while skiing
& met a friend named Jay
He appeared as if from nowhere
J ust in time to save the day
When I fell down
He came around
And as quickly went away
Strange familiar comfort
I felt when he was near
Confusion, panic, frustration
Then all at once, no sign of fear

From time to time
And day to day
When I need that comfort
That I felt from Jay
I light one up
And say hello
To my dear old good friend Jay
